Mike and Sarah tied the knot on a mountaintop and it was magical. The morning of this wedding, I casually checked the weather thinking it would still say “mostly sunny”. Mother Nature decided to throw us for a loop though and call for 70% chance of storms starting at 3pm on until late in the evening. Their first look, portraits, and ceremony were all supposed to be outside. Sarah texted me that she had also checked the weather. I told her not to worry, because of all the many many weddings I have ever been a part of, never once has it rained over the outdoor photos or ceremony (you know, except my own wedding of course). But then promptly at 3, it started to downpour. Like, thunder that makes you jump and rain that makes it impossible to see out the windows. Sarah looked at me, and I told her we still had plenty of time before photos. Then, 15 minutes before their first look, the rain stopped, the sun came out, and we didn’t see another drop of rain until we were safely under their reception tent as they danced to their first dance as a married couple. Like I said… their mountaintop marriage was some kind of freaking magic.
