I feel really fortunate for all of the couples I got to photograph and people I got to meet during my time here in Hawaii. I have second shot two beautiful weddings with two amazing photographers and I photographed two beautiful couples in two breath-taking locations. Natalie and Dean were especially awesome to have met, because they actually went to school with my husband back in PA! After rescheduling multiple times, we had a perfect evening — Even if I got them splashed by a wave…

I feel really thankful for these past two months, because it really has been such an amazing experience. I have learned so much here about who I want to be as a photographer, and I have set a lot of goals for myself for the rest of this year. But there is nothing quite like the comfiness of home, and I think that is a huge part of why I enjoyed hanging out with Dean and Natalie so much. Being that they were from the same home, they felt a little bit like home.

We talked about what we missed the most about home, and what we loved about Hawaii and our favorite places we had been to. We talked about how crazy small the world felt when we found out that we kinda sorta knew each other, and I had an absolute blast third wheeling with them. I wish I could have had more time to hang out with them while on the island, but someday when we are all back in PA again, I am sure we will get to connect more. I look forward to that day fo’sho!

I am so excited about taking this next step with my little family. We have loved this adventure, and we agree we wouldn’t take it back or undo it for anything. But we cannot wait to be back with our friends, and our family. I am also so beyond excited to be a photographer again in an area that I know and love. Not to mention, I am super excited that I am getting home just in time for sweater weather…
